Pilates grip socks, done properly.
Non-slip pilates grip socks, the grippy socks designed in Manchester for reformer, mat & barre. Full-sole silicone grip, breathable cotton-rich knit, and a cuff that never rolls.
Why Curve MCR pilates grip socks
Our pilates grip socks are made for the women who fill UK reformer studios every week. Curve uses a geometric grip that holds in both directions, so you stay put through planks, lunges and footwork rather than only when you press straight down. The knit is a thicker, extra-yarn construction, typical for grip socks at this price, and it's built to keep its shape through repeat washing.
Female-founded and designed in Manchester, knitted in a breathable cotton-rich blend, and named after the drinks you'd order after class. Whether you're new to reformer pilates or you're in the studio every week, these are the grip socks we built for ourselves first.

What are pilates grip socks?
Pilates grip socks are socks with a non-slip sole, worn to keep you steady on a reformer, a mat or a studio floor. Most UK studios now ask for them, partly for safety and partly for hygiene.
Curve socks use a geometric grip that holds in both directions, so you stay put through planks, lunges and footwork rather than only when you push straight down. One size fits UK 3 to 8. £13 a pair, or any three for £30.
Pilates grip socks, your questions answered
Do I need grip socks for reformer pilates?
Most UK studios require them. They stop your feet sliding on the footbar and the carriage, which lets you hold form through the movement instead of gripping to stay still. Many studios also ask for them on hygiene grounds.
Are grip socks the same as pilates socks?
In practice, yes. "Grip socks", "pilates socks", "reformer socks" and "grippy socks" all describe a sock with a non-slip sole. What varies is how much of the sole is covered and whether the grip works in more than one direction.
Why do pilates socks lose their grip?
Usually the wash. Hot water and tumble drying break down the grip over time. Wash cool at 30, skip the dryer, and dry flat with the grip side up. Ours are knitted with extra yarn so they hold their shape through repeat washing.
What size are Curve grip socks?
One size, fitting UK 3 to 8. The knit has enough stretch to sit snugly across that range without bunching.
Can you wear grip socks for barre and yoga?
Yes. The same non-slip sole works for barre, mat pilates, yoga and hot classes. Anywhere you would otherwise be barefoot on a slippery surface.
